This global Private Equity Firm are looking to recruit a U.S. Tax Analyst (m/f/d) to join their office in the greater Zurich area. The role will provide a top-calibre and driven candidate with an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tax issues spanning multiple jurisdictions with a strong focus on U.S tax.

As an U.S. Tax Analyst in Private Equity you are responsible for providing tax support to the private equity and real estate investment team. You will work with various stakeholders, including deal teams, legal counsel, accountants, and tax authorities to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of US tax laws and regulations related to private equity investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the tax implications of private equity investments, including acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
  • Review tax provisions and tax returns related to private equity investments and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax planning strategies and research on tax-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities, external service providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on private equity investments.
  • Support the private equity team in due diligence activities, including tax due diligence and structuring.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries related to private equity investments.
  • Prepare and present tax-related information to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in US tax compliance and planning, preferably in a private equity or asset management setting.
  • Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulations related to private equity investments, including partnership taxation and foreign tax issues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Fluent English language skills, German is an advantage.
