Our client is a global stock-listed semiconductor manufacturer. With operating subsidiaries on 6 continents, they have managed to attract the attention of more than 1000 clients from approximately 80 countries. For their office in Munich, they are currently looking to hire an experienced specialist to lead and further develop the Accounting and Finance team.

Main Responsibilities:
 

  • Leading the accounting team and procedure for subsidiaries in Germany and EMEA region, providing expert knowledge in the analysis and reporting under international accounting regulations;
  • Conducting and presenting financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
  • Working closely with senior management towards the budgets and forecasts delivery;
  • Analyzing performance against budgets;
  • Responsible for controlling and improvement of processes and requirements’ compliance, in order to improve operating efficiency;
  • Credit risk management and cash flow management;
  • Working closely with tax consultants, regarding customs and international taxation issues;
  • Evaluation and implementation of audit recommendations and providing feedback to management on results;
  • Maintaining an effective involvement and understanding of the business in order to contribute to key business decisions within the Company through financial advice and expertise;

 
Main Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the field of solar or energy sector, preferably within an industrial manufacturer;
  • Prior management experience required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance or other relevant fields;
  • Additional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA etc.) would be considered an advantage;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, HGB, US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX);
  • Expert knowledge in Excel and SAP;
  • Self-motivated, efficient team player with experience on a leadership position and strong communication skills;
  • Fluency in English and German is essential;
